The FAW 6X4 340HP truck mounted XCMG crane is modified based on the right-hand-drive cab chassis of the new Jiefang J5P 6x4, and adopts a 3800+1350mm double front axle wheelbase design, taking into account flexibility and stability. The power system is equipped with a 340-horsepower engine of WP10.340E32 Euro III emission standard, with a maximum torque of 1350N·m, matched with a FAST 9JSD135T 9-speed gearbox, smooth shifting and linear power output, and a 12.00R20 steel wire tire that provides strong grip, which can adapt to multiple scenarios such as heavy-load climbing and high-speed cruising.

The upper part is equipped with XCMG MSQS200-4 4-section straight-arm crane, with a maximum lifting weight of 8 tons and a lifting torque of 20t·m. The core parameters are as follows:

◆ Boom performance: The 4-section U-shaped arm is made of high-strength steel, with a maximum extension length of 13.2 meters and a maximum lifting height of 14.2 meters, covering the needs of medium and short-distance lifting. The boom is driven by hydraulic cylinders to extend and retract, and is equipped with synchronous telescopic technology to improve work efficiency.

◆ Operating system: 3 operating positions are provided, including the operating table on the top of the crane (with a wide field of view, suitable for precise positioning) and hydraulic operating levers on both sides of the crane (for quick adjustment on the ground), to meet the needs of different working conditions. The operating handle is integrated with a proportional control valve to achieve millimeter-level micro-movement.

◆ Outrigger system: Equipped with H-type double-chamber hydraulic outriggers, with a span of 5.58 meters, the stability of the outriggers is ensured by a two-way hydraulic lock. The outrigger cylinder stroke is adjustable to adapt to uneven ground.

◆ Safety configuration: The built-in torque limiter monitors the load and amplitude in real time, and automatically limits the amplitude when overloaded; the boom elevation limiter prevents over-elevation; the emergency manual pump can manually retract the boom when the hydraulic system fails.

The core working principle of the truck crane is based on the coordination of hydraulic transmission and mechanical structure:

◆ Power transmission: The chassis engine drives the hydraulic pump through the power take-off (PTO) to convert mechanical energy into hydraulic energy; the high-pressure oil is distributed to the crane slewing motor, variable-length cylinder, telescopic cylinder and outrigger cylinder through the control valve group to realize the action of each mechanism.

◆ Outrigger deployment: operate the outrigger control valve, and the high-pressure oil pushes the outrigger cylinder to extend to form a stable support platform.

◆ Boom extension: The telescopic cylinder drives the boom section to extend step by step, and the synchronous telescopic system ensures that the speed of each boom section matches to avoid jamming.

◆ Lifting and slewing: The lifting motor drives the drum to retract and release the wire rope to achieve the lifting and lowering of heavy objects; the slewing motor drives the turntable to rotate 360° through the reducer, and the slewing buffer valve reduces the start/stop impact.

◆ Load control: The torque limiter calculates the safe load based on the arm length and elevation angle. When it approaches the rated value, it triggers an audible and visual alarm and limits the action to ensure safety. A balance valve is set in the oil circuit of the cylinder to prevent the boom from accidentally falling or retracting.
