HOWO utility service boom crane truck

As a special vehicle that integrates lifting and transportation functions, HOWO utility service boom crane truck is widely used in logistics, construction, municipal administration and other fields. It is equipped with a Sinotruk MC05.21-50 Euro 5 engine (210 horsepower) and a DC7J100TC 7-speed gearbox, which is powerful and environmentally friendly. The upper body is equipped with a 6500×2400×700mm cargo box and integrated with a XCMG KSQS200-4 straight arm crane, with a maximum lifting capacity of 8 tons, a maximum lifting height of 13 meters, an extended arm length of 11.85 meters, a lifting torque of 200kN·m, and supports 360° full rotation. The hydraulic system is driven by a chassis power take-off and is equipped with 4 H-type outriggers to ensure operational stability. The operation mode includes an aerial console and a manual joystick to accurately control the lifting operation. Its core working principle is to drive the crane through a hydraulic system to complete the loading, unloading, handling and precise positioning of goods.

★ Chassis configuration: HOWO 4x2 heavy truck platform

The vehicle is modified based on HOWO 4x2 Class II chassis, with a wheelbase of 4500mm, taking into account both load stability and passability. The short wheelbase design makes the vehicle's turning radius smaller, suitable for narrow urban roads or complex construction sites. The chassis adopts a high-strength steel frame, with a front axle load of 6.5 tons and a rear axle load of 11.5 tons, ensuring torsion resistance and durability under heavy load conditions.

 

★ Power system: efficient and environmentally friendly Euro 5 power chain

● Engine: Equipped with China National Heavy Duty Truck MC05.21-50 inline four-cylinder diesel engine, with a displacement of 4.58L, a maximum power of 210 horsepower (150kW) @2400rpm, and a peak torque of 830N·m@1300-17800rpm. The engine adopts high-pressure common rail, EGR exhaust gas recirculation and DOC+DPF post-treatment technology, meets the Euro 5 emission standards, and has both low fuel consumption and low noise characteristics.

★ Upper structure: Multifunctional cargo box and crane integration

● Cargo box size: 6500×2400×700mm (length×width×height), volume of about 10.9m³, bottom plate uses 5mm patterned steel plate, side plate 4m steel can be opened on three sides, optional hydraulic tail plate.

 

● Crane layout: XCMG KSQS200-4 straight arm crane is installed in the front of the cargo box, the turntable is rigidly connected to the chassis frame by bolts, and a counterweight installation position is reserved to enhance stability. The layout of the cargo box and the crane has been calculated by the center of gravity to ensure reasonable axle load distribution during driving.

● Outrigger configuration:

◇ 4 H-type hydraulic outriggers provide stable support for lifting operations.

◇ Floating pads are installed at the end of the outriggers to adapt to soft foundations; the horizontal cylinder has a mechanical locking function to prevent accidental contraction during operation.

★ Operation and control: Human-machine interaction optimization design

● Operation mode:

◇ Aerial operating platform: located on the upper side of the turntable, equipped with a ladder and a seat,

◇ Ground manual operating lever: manual hydraulic operating levers are installed on both sides of the crane, which can be operated from the ground.

◇ Operation: The vertical and horizontal extension and retraction of the hydraulic legs are precisely controlled through three manual operating levers, as well as the extension and retraction of the boom, rotation, and extension and retraction of the hook.

●  Safety devices:

◇ Over-winch protection, overload automatic cut-off, and hydraulic overflow valve triple protection.

◇ The level gauge is linked to the outrigger pressure sensor, and an alarm is triggered when the tilt exceeds 3°.
