Chassis Configuration

1. HW76 6X4 Chassis

o Utilizes the Sinotruk Howo HW76 series dedicated chassis, 6×4 drive configuration, and a long wheelbase of 4600+1350mm to enhance driving stability.

 

o High-strength frame: Double-layer longitudinal beam structure, strong load-bearing capacity, excellent torsional resistance, ensuring no deformation of the body under full load.

 

2. Powertrain

o Weichai WP10.340E22 engine: 9.726L displacement, maximum power 340 hp (250kW), peak torque 1250 N·m, low-speed high torque characteristics meet the needs of heavy-load scenarios such as climbing and starting.

 

o HW19710 10-speed transmission: 10-speed manual transmission with a high first gear ratio and a low last gear ratio, balancing low-speed climbing and high-speed cruising, offering excellent shifting smoothness.

 

Upper Structure Design:

1. 20 Cubic Meter Carbon Steel Water Tank

o Volume and Structure: 20 cubic meter effective volume; elliptical tank design reduces water flow resistance and improves emptying efficiency; the tank body is made of 4mm thick Q235B carbon steel, sandblasted and rust-proofed, then coated with anti-rust paint for long service life.

 

o Baffle Design: Multiple baffles are built into the tank to suppress water flow sloshing and enhance vehicle stability.

 

o Manholes and Maintenance: Two Φ500mm manholes are located on the top of the tank, equipped with breather valves for easy inspection and cleaning; a drain valve is located at the rear of the tank for quick drainage of residual water.

2. Sprinkler System

o Front Flushing Device: Installed at the front of the vehicle, used to wash away road dust and mud, with a coverage width ≥14 meters and adjustable spray angle.

 

o Rear Side Sprinkler Device: Symmetrically arranged on both sides, with reasonable nozzle spacing, suitable for ground cooling and dust suppression.

4. Piping System

o Control Valve Assembly: Combination of pneumatic control valves and manual ball valves, enabling independent on/off operation of front flushing, rear spraying, and water cannon functions, facilitating convenient operation.

 

o Filtration Device: A coarse filter is installed before the pump, and a fine filter is installed after the pump to prevent impurities from clogging the nozzles and ensure stable system operation.

 

Safety Protection: The rear of the vehicle is equipped with a platform ladder and guardrails, and the top of the tank is equipped with an anti-slip walkway and guardrails, which provides a great deal of safety for workers to go up and down the top of the tank for operation and inspection.

Working Principle of Weilong 80QZB(F) 60/90N(S) Centrifugal Water Pump:

The core working principle of this Weilong centrifugal water pump is the conversion of centrifugal force into energy. Before starting, it needs to be filled with priming water to purge air. During operation, the pump drives the internal impeller to rotate at high speed via a power take-off (PTO). Water in the impeller is thrown from the center to the outer edge under centrifugal force, creating a vacuum (negative pressure) at the inlet. Under atmospheric pressure, water is continuously drawn in, achieving "self-priming."

Simultaneously, the high-speed water flow enters the volute-shaped diffuser chamber of the pump casing. The cross-section of the flow channel gradually increases, reducing the water velocity and efficiently converting the kinetic energy (velocity) of the water into pressure energy (head). Finally, this high-pressure water flow is discharged from the outlet, providing power for front flushing, rear spraying, and water cannon devices. Its "pump-in, pump-out" function is a specific application of this principle in both pumping and spraying modes.
